Technical requirements for submitting Customs declarations - Instrastat
Skip information indexTechnical requirements for filing Intrastat on Mac
To file an Intrastat declaration on a Mac, you must:
- Use Macintosh system 10.7.5 or higher.
- The procedure requires identification using an electronic certificate, DNIe or being registered in the Cl@ve system.
- It is recommended to have an updated PDF document viewer installed in order to correctly view the PDF documents resulting from Intrastat responses or queries.
To send EDIFACT files through the "Send file EDIFACT " option or through an application other than AEAT , you will also need to have 32-bit Java installed and allow the execution of the plugins of this component. Please be advised that Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox (version 52 and later) and Safari (version 12) have limited their support for the technology required for Java applets (NPAPI). Therefore, if you want to perform a procedure that requires Java, the browser you must use on a Mac is Mozilla Firefox prior to 52 . Also, please note that installing Java 8 on a Mac requires OS X version 10.7.3 or higher .
Alternatively, the Pale Moon browser has been found to respond correctly to Java and certificate use on Mac OS X. This is therefore our recommended option for those few things that require Java when accessing with the Mac OS X with Safari 12 installed and Firefox already installed.
If you don't have Firefox installed you can choose this procedure or install a version of Firefox lower than 52.
The rest of the procedures are not subject to this requirement.
For more information about downloading and installing Java on Mac OS X, see the "Checking for Java on Mac OS X" help center.
