V.1.3. Stamp used in case the business continuity procedure is applied

The paper transit declaration used for a business continuity procedure must be recognizable by all parties involved in the transit operation, in order to avoid problems at the customs office(s) of transit and at the customs office of destination.

To this end, the copies of the transit declaration in paper format must indicate that a procedure for continuity of activities is being applied by placing a stamp (dimensions: 26 × 59 mm) in box A of the SAD or in box NRM of the DAT. This stamp may be pre-printed on the SAD or DAT.

  • The document will be stamped by the customs office of departure when the ordinary procedure is applied or by the authorized issuer when the simplified procedure is used.
  • Annex V.1.8.1 lists the stamps used in the business continuity procedure in the different languages of the Union.

Please note that both the previous stamp introduced by Council Regulation (EEC) No 2913/92 establishing the Community Customs Code and the new stamp introduced by the UCC are admissible. Previous stamps may continue to be used until stocks run out.
