V.1.6.3. Destination: ordinary procedure

Where the goods have been released for transit within the NCTS at the customs office of departure, but the system at the customs office of destination is not operational upon arrival, the customs office of destination shall terminate the procedure based on a DAT and shall make the necessary registrations in the NCTS when it becomes operational again. This allows the customs office of departure to finalize the procedure.

Provided no irregularities have been detected, the customs office of destination will provide the holder of the procedure or the carrier with alternative proof that the procedure has ended. For further information, see part V.6.4.2.
