VII.2.2. Conditions for completion
Article 48, paragraph 2, of Appendix I to the Convention
Article 215, section 2, of the CAU
The transit procedure shall be terminated provided that it has been successfully completed in the manner described in Part IV, Chapter 4.
The competent authority for the completion of the regime will be the country of departure.
The finalisation may take various forms depending on the type of procedure applied (77).
In general, the finalization will consist of comparing the data corresponding to the transit regime, as established in the consignment and once registered and certified at destination.
(77) This may consist of a comparison based on electronic messages ("Advance Notice of Arrival" with "Control Results" in the NCTS) or on the comparison of documents (air or sea manifest with monthly list of the customs office of destination for the air and sea transit procedure in paper format).
