full year salary module

Of the groups studied in the statistics ofLabor Market and Pensions in Tax SourcesThis module focuses exclusively on the group ofSalaried workersThat is, it includes those people who have received remuneration as an employee during the study period. In collaboration with the General Treasury of Social Security (TGSS) we have developed this salary module, which estimates the Average Annual Salary. The contribution of the collaboration has consisted of providing the number of days of contributions to Social Security for each employment relationship that the people have had in the study period. With this information, it has been possible to estimate the annual salary for the entire period of employment relations at the level of salaried employee or recipient, as explained below.

In this statistical analysis, so far, an average annual salary is being calculated as the declared (actual) employment income divided by the number of employees for a geographical area limited to the territory of the Common Tax Regime and an annual time frame. The employees counted in the publication are different people who receive one or more salaries. The connection between the two blocks is obtained by maintaining the number of workers and transforming the salary mass (Estimated Salary) equivalent to a full day and year, so that if a worker has had more than one employment relationship in the year, all of them are counted both in his salary mass, as well as in the days worked in each of those employment relationships. This perspective provides an average salary comparable to that supplied in other Social Security or INE statistics. For example, the average wages of full-time workers from the INE's Annual Wage Structure Statistics.

The results are presented using classification criteria such as gender, age, and autonomous community of residence; But without a doubt, the most relevant thing is the distribution of the salaried population in percentiles and deciles of wages.
