Definitions
Salaried workers: It is the number of people who receive monetary compensation as work income, counted in a single way regardless of whether they have worked for one or more companies or entities.
HeSMEIt has been classified into deciles and percentiles, and the Median SME has been obtained for each of the Autonomous Communities.
The deciles and percentiles have been obtained for the total, and are maintained in the different breakdowns. This option, compared to the alternative of calculating independent deciles by Autonomous Community, allows visualization of the differences in the distributions by salary brackets of each of the territories. The median SME has indeed been obtained for each of the Autonomous Communities independently.
Decile: Each of the ten groups of salaried workers ordered by SME, composed of one-tenth of the total number of salaried workers. Calculated with respect to the total number of salaried workers in the Common Tax Regime Territory.
Centila: each of the one hundred divisions or groups of salaried workers ordered by SME composed of one hundredth of the total number of salaried workers.
Lower SME: It refers to the smallest SME in the decile or centile in which it occurs. Value in euros.
SME superior: It refers to the highest SME of the decile or percentile in which it occurs. Value in euros
Route: Difference between upper and lower SME of each decile or percentile in which it occurs. Value in euros
Decile amplitude: It is the percentage of the centile's range relative to the decile's range in which it is located. It is represented as a percentage.
Cumulative distribution of wage earners: It represents the percentage of the number of accumulated salaried workers in the lower deciles or percentiles with respect to the total number of salaried workers. Overall, the 5th decile corresponds to the median and accounts for 50% of salaried workers. It is relevant to see the differences in this variable by Autonomous Community, which allows us to visualize the differences in salary levels in the different territories.
Cumulative distribution of wages: It represents the percentage of accumulated estimated salaries of the lowest deciles or percentiles with respect to the total estimated salaries. Overall, the 5th decile corresponds to the median and accounts for less than 50% of salaries. It is relevant to see the differences in this variable by Autonomous Community, which allows us to visualize the differences in salary levels in the different territories.
The tables share the classification criteria of the rest of the statistics (gender, age and Autonomous Community) in which it is framed, although the first two age ranges have been grouped into one "Up to 25 years" to avoid confidentiality treatment in the first range up to 18 years.
