Commission Decision (EU) 2021/660 of 19 April 2021 amending Decision (EU) 2020/491 on relief from import duties and VAT exemption on importation granted for goods needed to combat the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak during 2020

On April 3, 2020, Commission Decision ( EU) 2020/491 was published in the Official Journal of the European Union, applying an exemption from import duties and the exemption from VAT of the import of goods that are going to be used to combat COVID-19, for release into free circulation by public entities or by organizations authorized by the competent authorities of the member states.　

On April 23, 2021, Commission Decision ( EU) Commission Decision (EU) 2021/660, which extends the provisions, is published in the Official Journal of the European Union on April 23, 2021. Decision (EU) 2020/491 on the granting of exemption from import duties and exemption from VAT in respect of the importation of goods necessary to combat the effects of the outbreak of COVID-19 until December 31, 2021.
