General information about the Cl@ve identification system
Cl@ve is a platform for the identification, authentication and electronic signature of citizens before State Administration bodies that are part of it. It is an electronic identification system that allows citizens to authenticate themselves in order to carry out procedures online, based on agreed-upon passwords with a limited validity period and that can be renewed whenever necessary. It involves the use of a verification code that must be confirmed in the APP Cl@ve , either by scanning the QR code provided by the system or by entering the identification data; or if the APP is not available by sending a SMS to the mobile phone associated with the registration in Cl@ve .
To identify yourself with Cl@ve you must first register in the system.
Registration can be done in person at the registration offices, requesting an appointment in advance, or online from the options on the Registration portal Cl@ve of the headquarters.
If you have an electronic certificate or DNIe you can register directly from the link "Register in Cl@ve with certificate or DNI electronic" or you can request that the invitation letter be sent to your tax address to register with your identification data and the CSV of the letter, from the option "Register in Cl@ve ". It is also possible to register online via video call ( Temporarily unavailable ), using this same link.
Note: Only one mobile phone number can be indicated per user.
Registration via CSV or video call (video call registration is temporarily unavailable)
To obtain the secure verification code ( CSV ) that allows you to register in the Cl@ve system, you must request the invitation letter to be sent by post from the option "Register in Cl@ve " .
From the same service you can also register via video call ( Temporarily unavailable ).
Once you have received the letter at your home, access the same option in the electronic office to provide the CSV , along with your DNI or NIE and the required verification data depending on the type of identity document (validity date, date of issue or support number). You must also provide a telephone number and an email address.
Registration with digital signature (certificate or electronic DNI )
If you have an electronic certificate or DNIe you can register immediately in the Cl@ve system from option "Register in Cl@ve with certificate or DNI electronic" .
Please provide your DNI / NIE , the validity date, issue date or support number, mobile phone number and an email address.
If you install the APP Cl@ve you can also start the registration procedure in Cl@ve from it. When installing the application and activating the user, if it detects that you are not registered in the system Cl@ve it will give you the option to register. Also by going to "Management" located in the menu at the bottom of the screen and clicking "Registration in Cl@ve ".
In-person registration
You can register in person at one of the registration offices participating in the system. If you wish to go to a AEAT office, you will first have to make an appointment by calling 91 290 13 40 / 901 200 351 or from the "Assistance and Appointment" section of the Tax Agency website.
Identification with Cl@ve
After registering in the Cl@ve system, you can carry out any procedure that allows identification with Cl@ve . Access the procedure, select identification using Cl@ve and obtain a verification code, then scan the QR code with the APP Cl@ve and confirm the authentication request or enter your identification data and confirm the authentication request with the APP. You can also choose to request a PIN and obtain it via a SMS or view it in the APP.
