General information about the Cl@ve identification system
Cl@ve is a platform for the identification, authentication and electronic signature of citizens before State Administration bodies that are integrated into it. It is an electronic identification system that allows citizens to authenticate themselves to carry out procedures online based on agreed keys with a limited validity in time and that can be renewed whenever needed. It involves the use of a verification code that must be confirmed in the APP Cl@ve , either by scanning the QR code provided by the system or by entering identification data; or by using a code chosen by the user and a PIN communicated via SMS or in the APP.
To identify yourself with Cl@ve it is necessary to previously register in the system.
Registration can be done in person at the registration offices, by requesting an appointment, or online from the options on the Registry Cl@ve portal at the headquarters.
If you have an electronic certificate or DNIe you can register directly from the link "Register in Cl@ve with certificate or DNI electronic" or you can request that the invitation letter be sent to your tax address to register with your identification data and the CSV of the letter, from the option "Register in Cl@ve ". It is also possible to register online with a video call, using this same link.
Note: It is only possible to indicate one mobile phone number per user.
Registration via CSV or video call
To obtain the secure verification code ( CSV ) that allows you to register in the Cl@ve system, it is necessary to request the sending of the verification letter invitation by postal mail from the option "Register in Cl@ve " .
From the same service you can also register via video call.
Once you have received the letter at your home, access the same option of the electronic office to provide the CSV , along with your DNI or NIE and the verification data required depending on the type of identity document (validity date, date of issue or support number). You must also indicate a telephone number and an email.
Registration with digital signature (certificate or electronic DNI )
If you have an electronic certificate or DNIe you can register immediately in the Cl@ve system from the option "Register in Cl@ve with certificate or DNI electronic" .
Provide your DNI / NIE , the validity date, the date of issue or the support number, the mobile phone number and an email address .
If you install the APP Cl@ve you can also start the registration procedure in Cl@ve from the same. When installing the application and activating the user, if it is detected that you are not registered in the system Cl@ve will give you the option to register. Also entering "Managements" located in the menu at the bottom of the screen and pressing "Registration in Cl@ve ".
You can register in person at one of the registration offices attached to the system. If you want to go to an office of the AEAT , you will first have to request an appointment by calling 91 290 13 40 / 901 200 351 or from the "Assistance and Appointment" section of the website of the Tax Agency.
Identification with Cl@ve
After registering in the Cl@ve system, you can carry out any procedure that allows identification with Cl@ve . Access the procedure, select the identification using Cl@ve and obtain a verification code, then scan the QR code with the APP Cl@ve and confirm the authentication request or enter your identification data and confirm the authentication request with the APP. You can also choose to request a PIN and obtain it through a SMS or view it in the APP.
