I.4.1.3.5. Change of customs of passage or destination

If the goods transit through a customs office other than the one declared, the message initially sent to the declared customs office (IE050) is useless.

In this case, the actual customs office of transit sends the message "ATR Request" (IE114) to the customs office of departure, in which it will request the IE050 message, in order to access the declaration data.

In response, the customs office of departure sends the message “ATR Response” (IE115).

Likewise, goods may be presented at a destination customs office other than the one declared.

In this case, the destination customs office sends the "AAR Request" message (IE002) to the departure customs office, in which it will request the sending of message IE001. This way, the new destination customs office can obtain the necessary information about the declaration data.

After receiving the "AAR Response" message (IE003) and verifying the goods, the destination customs office sends the IE018 message.

If there is a change in the customs office of transit or destination, messages sent to the declared customs office become useless and remain open. To complete the procedure in the system, the NCTS then sends a message to the declared customs offices notifying them of where and when the goods were presented, so that the messages can be closed.
