IX.4.5. Intermediate load

Article 18 of the TIR Convention

A TIR transport may be carried out, at most, through four (92) customs offices of departure or destination.

If additional goods are loaded at the intermediate customs office in transit, that office must act as both the customs office of destination and the customs office of departure with regard to the use of the TIR Carnet and the data contained therein.

The procedure described above in section 4.4 must be followed; In particular, the preceding operation in the NCTS will be closed and messages IE06 and IE018 will be sent (see section IX.5.3).

After loading the additional goods, the TIR Carnet holder must submit a new declaration with the TIR Carnet information to the NCTS, including all details of the previous shipments (such as the previous document reference (NRM)). See an example in Annex IX.8.9.
