4.1. Prevention of tax and customs fraud. Taxpayer assistance

In order to encourage voluntary compliance and prevent non-compliance with tax and customs obligations, the Tax Agency deploys a wide range of information and assistance services to taxpayers, mostly via the Internet (through the portal www.agenciatributaria.es and the electronic office www.agenciatributaria.gob.es ).

However, although the Internet has become the main channel of communication with taxpayers, the Tax Agency maintains both face-to-face assistance to taxpayers in its offices and telephone assistance for certain services.
