How to obtain an electronic certificate
Skip information indexAccreditation of natural person
The certifying authority establishes the documentation that the applicant must present to prove his or her identity. This information is usually published on the website of the certifying entity, and therefore you should contact the entity you have chosen to obtain your electronic certificate from if you need to clarify any doubt about this matter.
The documentation that must be provided will depend on whether the applicant is a natural person, a legal person or an entity without legal personality.
In general, when the applicant is a natural person, for accreditation he/she must simply provide the original and a photocopy of the DNI , NIE or valid Spanish passport.
For certificates for natural persons, you can go to any of the Registry Offices. If you choose a Tax Agency office, you must make an appointment.
User registration is done in person, but some entities have started to allow the request for certificates with DNI electronic ( DNIe ) so that accreditation is done online and it is not necessary to go to a Registration Office to be accredited in person. Check with the issuing entity to see if this option is available.
For any questions regarding this matter, it is necessary to contact the issuing entity through which you requested your certificate.
