How to import a valid copy of your electronic certificate

If the operating system is Mac and the Mozilla Firefox browser, the electronic certificate must be installed in the certificate store of this browser.
If you also want to use it in other browsers (Safari or Google Chrome), you must also import it in "Keychain Access."
Import of the certificate in the Firefox warehouse
To import a certificate to Mozilla Firefox, you must have the copy done with a password, since to install it in this browser you always request a "backup password."
Go to "Firefox," Preferences, "or the three-line icon located in the top right corner of the browser," Preferences. "
In "Privacy and security," Security, "Certificates," click on "See certificates."
In the tab "Your certificates," click on the button "Import...." The extension of a valid copy of an electronic certificate will be .pfx or. p12. Select the file from the location where it is saved and click "Open."
The browser may ask you to enter the master password (it is the password of the Mozilla Firefox certificate store and by default it does not set; If you decide to set it up, please note that its forgetfulness can cause the certificate to be lost). If there is no established card, you can leave it blank, but if you have already set it up, you will have to enter it in order to continue with the import of the certificate. If no message appears on the master password, go ahead.
In the next window, enter the password you indicated to encrypt the backup copy and click "OK."
If everything is correct, the message "They have been successfully restored..." will appear.
Import in "Keychain Access"
To use the electronic certificate from other browsers (Safari or Google Chrome), the certificate must be installed in Keychain Access. Start the application of the "Keychain Access" system, from "Finder," Applications, "Tools."
Go to "Login," My certificates "and check whether your personal certificate appears in this warehouse.
If not, click on "File," Import elements "or" Import items "depending on the version.
Select file. p12 or .pfx with the backup of the electronic certificate and click "Open." It may be necessary to provide the password that was established when exporting the certificate.
If the import is successful, the certificate will appear in the "Keychain Access."
