How to import a valid copy of your electronic certificate
Skip information indexImporting a copy of the certificate to a card
An electronic certificate cannot be imported directly from the browser to a cryptographic card. To carry out this operation it is necessary to have specific software provided by the certifying entity and also to have exported the certificate to a portable device or storage unit USB or to a location on the hard drive .
Once the backup has been made and in the event that the user certificate has been issued by the National Mint and Stamp Factory ( FNMT ), follow the instructions detailed below :
-
Go to "Start" (lower left corner) and select "Programs", " FNMT -RCM", "Card", "Certificate Importer".
-
Click "Next" in the start window of the certificate import wizard.
-
With the "Browse" button, search for the path where the certificate that you previously exported is located. Select the file and press "Open".
-
Again in the window where the "Browse" button is located, click "Next".
-
If you have established a security password during the export process, enter it and press "Finish".
-
A warning window will appear with the message "The import of a certificate with associated private keys has been detected". Do you want the process to be performed on the CERES card?". Accept the message by clicking "Yes".
-
In the "PIN Verification" window you must enter the card's PIN and then "Accept".
-
If the import was successful, the message "Import of the certificate to the Ceres card was successful" will be displayed.
