Goods affected by controls from other Ministries
If you are going to carry out foreign trade operations, check if your goods may require any special certification or authorization from other public bodies...
Plant Origin Products
Foreign trade in products of plant origin is subject to phytosanitary control at the border by the competent authority for Plant Health Inspection, which is the General Subdirectorate of Sanitary Agreements and Border Control, of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
From a phytosanitary point of view, the Canary Islands are considered a third country given their special status and own phytosanitary protection regulations, so the importation into the Peninsula of plants, plant products and other objects must comply with the provisions of said Regulations for all purposes.
