Goods affected by controls of other Ministries
If you are going to carry out foreign trade operations, check whether your goods may require any special certification or authorization from other public bodies...
Products of plant origin
Foreign trade in products of plant origin is subject to phytosanitary control at the border by the competent authority in matters of Plant Health Inspection, which is the General Subdirectorate of Sanitary Agreements and Border Control of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
From a phytosanitary point of view, the Canary Islands are considered a third country due to their special status and their own phytosanitary protection regulations, so the importation into the Peninsula of plants, plant products and other objects must comply with the provisions of said Regulation for all purposes.
