Substances that deplete the ozone layer
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2024/590 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 February 2024 on substances that deplete the ozone layer and repealing Regulation ( EC ) No 1005/2009 , the production, introduction, supply, making available, use, import and export of the ozone-depleting substances listed in Annex I thereto, as well as the introduction, supply, making available, import and export of products and equipment containing, or dependent on, ozone-depleting substances listed in Annex I, as well as non-refillable receptacles, are prohibited, with the exception of the import and export of personal effects (Article 4, 5 and 15).
However, the Regulation establishes a series of exemptions to these prohibitions and compliance with certain requirements such as registration in the ODS Licensing System , obtaining a valid license and correctly labeling certain products.
