Metals and Precious Stones
For the purposes of Law 17/1985, precious metals are considered exclusively platinum, gold and silver. Objects made of precious metals are those that contain, totally or partially, platinum, gold or silver in the established legal proportion. Likewise, for the manufacture, trafficking and marketing of these objects, the precepts of the Law must be complied with.
There is no special requirement for the export of precious metals, it will be carried out in accordance with what is established by customs regulations without compliance with any other formality being required.
For the purposes of Council Regulation (EC) No 2368/2002, a system of certification and import and export controls for rough diamonds is established in the European Union for the purposes of the implementation of the Kimberley Process certification system.
