The activation process of the APP will not be necessary if the user had already registered this device in Cl@ve PIN since when installing the application, only by indicating the device's security pattern, it will be activated.
Otherwise, to activate the device, the first step will be to indicate the DNI or NIE and the corresponding contrast information:
- Validity date , for DNI ;
- Issue date , for permanent DNI (01-01-9999);
- Support number , if it is a NIE .
At the bottom you have the link "How to obtain the validity date of your DNI (or the date of issue if it is a permanent DNI)?" which directs you to the help content that explains in detail how to locate this information in the different types of existing identity documents.
To indicate the date of the document, the device's day, month and year selector will be activated; once selected, press "OK".
If it is a NIE , go to the "Support Number" field and complete it with your support number. In this case you also have the help link "How to obtain the support number of your NIE ?" in which we tell you where the support is located in your document or card and how you have to record it.
If the user is not registered in Cl@ve , the APP offers the possibility of registering at that time.

If you select "With electronic certificate" the APP will allow you to choose the electronic certificate installed in the application (if you don't have it, you can also import it at that time). In this case you will be registered at an advanced level.

If you select "By video call", you will be contacted by an agent who will register at that moment (you need to have the ZOOM APP installed on the device and also activate the camera and sound).

If you select "By letter to the tax address" you can request the letter be sent to your tax address and, once received, register with the CSV code (Secure Verification Code) of the letter.

You can also select in-person registration.
If the user is already registered in Cl@ve , the user goes to the activation process, for which several alternatives are offered:

Activate by SMS . A SMS will be sent to the mobile phone associated with the Cl@ve registration with an activation code that will be valid for 10 minutes. Enter the code you received. In the event that it is necessary to update the telephone number associated with Cl@ve, you can use the "CHANGE PHONE NUMBER" option to link to the service to modify the telephone number by video call or with certificate.
Then press "Activate device". If you do not receive the SMS or the timer expires and therefore the code expires, you can press "Resend code" to have us send you a new message. If the process is carried out correctly, a notice will be displayed indicating that the device has been activated correctly and that a user can only be activated on one device.

Activate with electronic certificate . In this case it will be necessary to have a software certificate installed in the application. First of all, the APP asks you for the security mechanism to unlock the device. If it is not already installed, click "Add certificate".
Choose the file PFX or P12 with the copy of the certificate in the location where you have it saved. Enter the password you set to protect the certificate's private key. Then, press "Install certificate". The device authentication mechanism will be requested again. If the activation has been successful, the "Device activated" notice will be displayed.
