Operating and managing the Informative Tax Returns Platform (latest version)
Skip information indexHow to detect and correct a tax return with duplicated records
For model 349 for fiscal years 2016 and 2017, the Information Platform incorporates the "Management of Duplicate Records" tool that allows the control of repeated declarations that prevent obtaining correct declarations. Access to this duplicate control utility is found in the "Utilities" menu, "Duplicate Management" or can also be accessed from the corresponding icon on the toolbar (a statement must be previously selected for the option to be enabled ).
Through the duplicate records management wizard, three possibilities are offered: mark duplicate records in the declared list; accumulate all records into one and delete the rest; or delete all duplicate records except one.
The result of applying duplicate control is an irreversible process, so it is advisable to make a backup copy of the data before using this control tool to avoid losing data already included in your return.
This control tool is only enabled for 349 in the Informative Platform help program.
If the declaration contains repeated records that prevent obtaining a valid declaration, select the declaration and access the "Utilities" menu, "Duplicate Management".
Click "Next" in the duplicate records management wizard and select the type of data where you want to apply duplicate records control.
Next, select the type of strategy you want to apply.
If you select "Add", the tool accumulates all duplicate records into one and deletes the rest. In this way, there will be a single record whose economic data is the sum of the economic data of the duplicate records.
If you select the "Mark" option, all duplicate records will be marked with a cross.
If you select the "Delete" option, applying the tool will delete the duplicate records found, except for one.
This information is also available on the Information Platform, by clicking "Help", "Platform Help" in the options menu at the top, and in the "Management of repeated declarations" section of the "User Preferences" folder.
