Browser compatibility with electronic ID

The DNIe (in any of its versions) is not compatible with:

  1. Firefox, for procedures that use Java when signing in any operating system.
  2. Double signature in procedures that use Java in any browser or operating system.

In these cases you can obtain the certificate FNMT through your DNIe or register with Cl@ve if the procedure you need to carry out supports this identification system.

The DNIe 3.0 is not considered compatible in environments:

  1. Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 (systems no longer supported by Microsoft): indicated on the Electronic ID card portal.
  2. MacOSX versions prior to Yosemite: indicated by soporte.sacdni@policia.es
