Electronic submission of Model 036

The link "Completion and online filing of 036" is available in the list of procedures of "Forms 036 and 037".This form can be submitted with a certificate, DNIe or Cl@ve PIN.

At the top of the form you have the option "Optional:Import file data" if you wish to import a file generated with a programme outside the AEAT using the "Examine" button.This file must be constructed in plain text (.txt) without any formatting and must be adapted to the logical design of the model in force and taking into account the characters included in the table above.You can find the registration design of form 036 for electronic filing and the rest of the requirements in the "Information and help" section of the form.

The Form 036 form also allows you to save the declaration generated with our form in order to retrieve it later, by clicking on "SAVE".

If you click "Save", a file of the type NIF036.txt will be saved in the "Downloads" folder or in the default location in the browser.

To submit the declaration, click on the "Submit" button and if the declaration contains no errors, in the next window tick the "OK" box and click on "Sign and Send".

The result of a correctly filed 036 return will always be a reply sheet with a text: "Your submission was successful" and an embedded PDF whose first page contains information concerning the filing (registry entry number, Secure Verification Code, receipt number, date and time of filing and taxpayer details) and the following pages contain a full copy of the return.

There are cases in which it will be necessary to provide the receipt provided in order to state the option or reason for filing form 036.In these cases, the filing receipt the taxpayer will obtain will contain a notice highlighting that the filing will not take effect until the required documentation is presented and verified.

To submit the required documentation you can access with an electronic certificate, DNIe or Cl@ve PIN through the option "Aportar documentación complementaria".This application allows documents to be send in several formats, linked to the tax return by the file number or electronic reference number.

You will also be able to make changes to your census data if you access the "My census data" section with an electronic certificate, DNIe or Cl@ve PIN.

If you do not have an electronic certificate, DNIe or Cl@ve PIN, you can access the option "Filling in, validating and obtaining PDF for printing 036" (requires a document viewer PDF to be installed).Once you have filled in the information on the form, the declaration will be generated in PDF, which you can print out and submit it together with the necessary documentation.
