In the event that "Error sign:Error generating the CadES signature" appears when signing with a cryptographic card, these checks must be carried out:

The signing certificate must be selected and not the authentication certificate.
- Check which version of Java you have installed. If necessary, update the Java Virtual Machine to the latest available.

Temporarily disable the antivirus:

If the antivirus on Eset Nod 32, with the right mouse button on the icon in the notification tray, select "Temporarily disable protection". Close the browser and disconnect the USB reader from the computer or card. Reconnect everything and try the procedure again.

If the antivirus is Norton, with the right mouse button on the icon in the notification tray, select "Disable Antivirus Auto-Protect". Close the browser and disconnect the USB reader from the computer or card. Reconnect everything and try the procedure again.

If the antivirus is Mcafee, disable "Real-time scanning". Close the browser and disconnect the USB reader from the computer or card. Reconnect everything and try the procedure again.

If the antivirus is Kaspersky with Windows 8, temporarily disable it by right-clicking on the Kaspersky K and selecting "Exit". Without closing the browser, try the procedure again.
Regardless of the antivirus used, activate it again after retrying the procedure.

If the issue persists, disable the suspension of USB ports . To do this, go to 'Start', 'Control Panel', 'Energy Options', and click on 'Change the plan settings', which is selected; then press "Change advanced power settings" and in the next window enter "Settings USB ", "Selective suspension settings for USB " . Change the setting to "Disabled" in the options that appear (for example, AC and battery).

Finally, close the browser and disconnect the USB reader from the computer or card. Reconnect everything and retry the procedure.

If the issue persists, check that the driver updates provided by the Certificate Issuing Authority are installed.
